Law Fellow
Caelan re-joined Hayes Dolce in 2026 as a Law Fellow. He is dedicated to organizing the unorganized, advancing the rights of working people, and fighting hard for the labor movement at this critical historical juncture.
Caelan was a Peggy Browning Fellow with Hayes Dolce in summer 2025, and a law clerk with the firm throughout 2025-2026. In summer 2024, he was a Peggy Browning Fellow with Solidarity Law PLLC in Portland, Maine. Before law school, Caelan worked as an Honors Paralegal on antitrust litigation at the Federal Trade Commission (FTC), and as a Legal Analyst at a law firm in D.C. He has organized with the Emergency Workplace Organizing Committee (EWOC) and the Student Workers of Columbia-UAW Local 2710.
Caelan graduated with honors from Columbia Law School, where he was the recipient of the Emil Schlesinger Labor Law Prize, the Carol B. Liebman Mediation Prize, and the Greene/PIF Scholarship. During law school Caelan was the co-founder of the CLS Workers’ Rights Student Coalition (WRSC), a Teaching Assistant for Labor Law, a Research Assistant for the Columbia Center for Political Economy–Labor Lab, and a Board Member of the Columbia Law and Political Economy Society. He also was a member of the Columbia Law School Mediation Clinic, where he mediated cases in New York state courts and at the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC).
